Nino’s Corvette

One of the coolest and possibly most overlooked feature of any Corvette, is the story behind it. Corvettes are fun and exciting, but when you add the emotions and personal touch of a story it transforms into something really special.

Listen/Engage/Learn

This morning I invested a little more than an hour of my time with a man that most people would have ignored or dismissed. This man stopped into our Corvette Showroom and without introducing himself, started to brag about how he owns 3 Porsches. He was well dressed, wore nice shoes, designer glasses and arrived in his Porsche Cayenne. It was clear that this man felt his importance was greater than others. As if things weren’t already on the wrong foot, he then made a comment expressing how he felt our prices were high. At this point, my blood is boiling. Who is this guy?! Who walks into a Corvette store to brag about Porsches? Most people would have argued with him, or simply dismissed him and continued to do other work. I needed to find out more about this man. If knew what his story was, I could turn this encounter into something productive. I began with friendly conversation. Asked his name and introduced myself. Over the next hour I was able to unfold a short story of his life and in the process discover his true personality which was nothing short of great.

Corvette Museum Delivery Pays Tribute to Famous Corvette Racer

There is no doubt in my mind that I’m a lucky guy. I have struggles like everyone else, but when your “job” is to connect people to Corvettes it makes life pretty awesome. My name is Nate Chandler, I’m the Corvette Department Manager for Van Bortel Chevrolet in Macedon, NY. Our concentration in Corvettes has allowed us to become New York’s largest Corvette dealer in only the 3 years of our existence! We’re rapidly growing because we do things a little different than most dealers, especially when it comes to taking care of people. Just a few weeks ago I met a customer at the Corvette Museum in Bowling Green, KY, for his museum delivery. This turned into one of the greatest experiences of my life.

My C7 Review (9/29/13)

**This is a copy and paste of my C7 review that I wrote back in 2013.**

Now that I have driven over 600 miles on the all new 2014 Corvette Stingray, I’ve developed enough familiarity with the car to be able to write a review.

A little information about myself:
I’ve been living Corvettes 24/7 for the past 7-8 years. It all started when I took on the position of being a lead service technician for a small used Corvette dealer. Before I knew it I became a Corvette owner myself. Work became my life. If I was not working on Corvettes during the day, I was out driving mine or going to a cruise-night or local Corvette club meeting. Today, I oversee all Corvette operations for a Chevy dealer. I’ve worked on/touched/driven nearly 2,000 Corvettes. Some people would say I’m a Corvette expert, but I’ll never brag or admit to being something I am not. I’m just doing what I love. I am sure there are others that know more about Corvettes than I.

Onto my review of the all new, 2014 Corvette Stingray:
